Whichever one an individual thinks is the better one. I enjoyed them both but The Thing had a great disgusting adaptable monster, which Aliens didn't have.

I'm gonna go with The Thing on this one. It's definitely the more intense and unsettling movie. Aliens is quite fun and exciting, but it's not scary like The Thing is.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
