To be honest, body types have also changed in real life. A lot more guys and girls go to the gym than people 30 years ago. People on average have gotten fatter, but there are a lot more fit people around too.

He's a nerd because he's skinny? OK, tough guy.

          From Wikipedia:
Nerd (adjective: nerdy) is a descriptive term, often used pejoratively, indicating that a person is overly intellectual, obsessive, or lacking social skills Additionally, many nerds are described as being shy, quirky, and unattractive,[4] and may have difficulty participating in, or even following, sports
So yes, due to lack of sports activity there will be a direct correlation between nerdiness and skinniness.

You can speculate about me all you want, but the following are fact:

              1. You are unimaginative. Dozens of people have had a go at my name before you.
              2. I have a cooler name than you.

Well yes, high testosterone males come across as vulgar and arrogant to you most of the time except the few days a month when you're ovulating; that's when you want it.

That description does not sound like Vic at all. The "skinny nerd" is usually more gangly and thin. Vic is just, average I guess.
If he were to fit I type, I'd go with yuppie.

A man with basic level of fitness that can run a 6-7 minute mile, can lift twice his weight, can do 10 pullups, etc. It's really basic stuff, but 99% of people can't.

It's funny that I say basic functional fitness, like being able to do 10 pullups and you think that equates to being an elite world-class athlete.

It's pretty hard for a grown man to lift twice his own weight.

It's really not. Lifting twice your weight is a basic functional strength level for the lower back. Most people who have a physically demanding job can do it with little to no training. An out of shape office worker could get there in a few months training 1-2 times a week.
