She doesn't even look like a boy….

…Yentl looks like Barbra Streisand, who is too old for the part, with a dyke haircut.
That said, her talent and passion behind this vanity project of hers isn't a complete write off.
It does seem odd though, that she cast a fine singer in handsome Patinkin and didn't let him belt out a tune.

That is odd about Mandy. Maybe she didn't want him stealing her thunder

And when Yentl is in the presence of Avigdor, it makes her look even more feminine and not even femme boy looks.
Even in that era, surely they weren't that dense and blind.
She wanted it to be known as a film with music and not a musical as its Yentl's thoughts she is expressing in her singing.
The same could have been done with Patinkin too, even if he had one solo and a duet of thoughts about each other together.
His casting was fine, but since he is an accomplished singer himself, I'd say it would be because of his Jewish heritage only, which is how she would have comprised all her casting choices in this film I would say.

I just argue back as tactfully as I can if someone has pissed me off. Even when they've been in the wrong, its hard to get an apology out of them.
With a work place environment, one needs to pick and choose their battles and with the trouble-makers whose power of position goes to their head, it can't always be taken personally. Many of them tend to be short lived too, or get owned in some other way.
Many A Hole colleagues don't seem to be aware of what they are doing to others or themselves either and they don't care. Its a power trip for them.
Its the hassle of needing another job and finding ones that are suitable, why most just put up with bullshit and abuse. It can be worse than a school yard at times.
Many of the bitches I work with, some appear to come from a position of personal privilege, they have well-off husbands and come to work for pocket money only.

I just didn't like working retail except for when I worked for Duty Free
I'm much better suited for retirement

In a way I envy you here.
I'm still having to abide my time. I can't really complain though.
What did you like about Duty Free in compare to other retail vocations?

I really liked it for some reason. Maybe it was the cosmetics and perfume

Yes, you still have a ways to go before retiring. Although I'm retired I still have to work hard

It would be nice to think that with all what's been going on in the world lately, that it would open up new opportunities and make it a free for all anywhere one goes. Globalization would be ideal for that.
You could come over here and I would take care of you….

Those alpha kangaroos can be very defensive and aggressive.
That one would have been well trained and they can also be very docile too like the ones I saw in the Melbourne zoo just bouncing around amongst the crowd, yet while fun to watch, it looks like those creatures are being exploited for all the wrong reasons.
Provoking it to box back is cruelty.
