People LOOKED better in the 80s

The 80s were before the health commies got so prevalent. Health commies are part and parcel with the watermelon eco movement and socialized health care. They want you and 95% of the population off the planet, and they want you to be "healthy" until you drop dead. Check out U.N. Agenda 21, also research "eugenics".

OH TOTALLY. (where would hollywood be today without it!) .and before Lip Implants, Butt Implants, Cheek pulls, botox nerve death, pencilled-in eyebrows, UGH. SICKO stuff. all paid in cash too (no insurance).

I absolutely disagree. Compare Michele Johnson and Demi Moore(Who are reaching 50) to the 50 year olds in this movie. Also Compare Joe Bolonga and Michael Caine in this movie to Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt, who are the same age now that the other 2 were in this movie.

Granted Johnny Depp and Pitt are in v. good healthy shape. But there was this one scene where Bologna had taken off his shirt with Michele (then much younger) and it is that "lean" sort of "non-gym rat" natural physique (for Bologna) and the more curvy one for the then Michele that I thought was MORE attractive than today.
Which is also not found so much due to the diets and gym culture. (Michelle's current photo featured on Imdb is major anorex-ville)
Aside: Though Demi Moore is in excellent shape, I just don't find her that attractive, I don't know what it is.. -

I completely agree. While peoples' faces look better/younger now, even without botox, bodies looked waaaaay better in the 80's. They were naturally lean and attractive, not overly-muscled/bloated/overweight/obese etc

Let me disagree on this.
First of all let's talk about real people and not ones in the movies. I think it just sort of "happened" that people in this movie look "good" by today's standards. And let's not forget that it's a movie shot in brazil where most of the people/extras are cast (eg beach scenes).
OK I can give you that men were not metrosexual than we are today. Just that, but women? No way! Most women in the 80s looked bad, not to mention ones in their 30s and 40s who looked especially horrible. Saggy boobs and bottoms and eyebrows like Ernest Borgnine's! It's not that I'm an advocate of silicone boobs but women nowadays look more refined and certainly pay more attention to themselves in terms of diet and style than in the 80s.
I still can remember girls at my high school - only just a couple looked good in the entire school but it could be just me.
PS And before you say it, OFF COURSE Michelle Johnson is absolutely hot in this movie. But that's not the point now is it.
I like

I absolutely concur Chelle. As males, my friends and I comment on the figures of females. We have felt that today's processed foods and fast foods have contributed negatively. Young American women today don't seem to have the same natural curves as previous generations. When you travel abroad, you notice more pronounced shapes in most of Europe, Latin America and even Asia. There actually have been studies that have tried to explain this phenomenon. Some have mentioned stress from working long hours. I disagree since you can see this change on college campuses.
I am sure there have been changes to American males, but I don't have the same ability to perceive the changes.
