This was one of the better sequels. Some real nasty and gory kills in this one. Also, a few hot babes bare their yummy wares as well. The twin sisters Camilla and Carey More in particular were seriously smokin'.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything. -

It's OK. It was the first film with Tommy Jarvis (Corey Feldman) who became an important character in the series. It's also notable for Crispin Glover's performance. Overall, it's a well made slasher flick with great gore effects. This one obviously had a bigger budget than the earlier films.
The downside (for me): Jason was undead at this point, a sort of unstoppable killing machine, but any mystery or creepiness surrounding his character was gone by now. He was no longer the mortal serial killer stalking teens at Camp Crystal Lake. The kills were no longer scary, in fact, they were quite predictable and the atmosphere of the earlier films was all but gone. -

SPOILERS:
DUDE HE'S MORTAL IN THIS FILM! evidence for this is when tommy's sister trish stabs him near the end it leaves a hole in his hand and he's bleeding so he was mortal and when tommy stabs him to death he died. which is why in the next film he's in he had to be electrocuted to be brought back to life as a zombie.

oh is that why it looks better more beautiful than the previous 3 films? the fact that it has a much higher budget than the first 3 films?
i love the fact that the twins were on a soap opera together.
great gore effects is right bc they were done by tom savini.
what are you talking about? first of all jason is not undead in this film. he was still a living, breathing, mortal person. he became undead, zombie jason in part 6 after being electrocuted by lightning while his dead body was in a coffin.
also there's a lot of mystery and creepiness in the jason mythos in this film. like in the scene where the rugged guy in his tent looks at pictures of jason in the newspaper and thinking about jason. also the whole film has a very creepy, mysterious look, feel and atmosphere that is very effective in making you creeped out and on edge.
yes he's an unstoppable killing machine and by the way he's always an unstoppable killing machine in part 2 and part 3 and in every part of this series expect part 1. that's the point. the only thing you can say is by this part he's so methodical and the formula was so extreme in this film that maybe the suspense isnt' as great in the scenes in which he kills people as in the films before this film.
