From what I understand there has never been an actual soundtrack release of Dave Brubeck's score to ORDEAL BY INNOCENCE, but can anyone tell me if any of the material appears on any of his albums? The music that plays over the opening credits in particular. Another post on this message board claims the music comes from the "Take Five" album, but as far as I can tell there is no offical album (except a concert recording) with that name.

Just want to chime in that "Time Out" often incorrectly has been called "Take Five" due to the artwork of the album. However, I do not think Time Out was used for this film.
I think the recordings used on this film do not sound like the fifties DB Quartet at all, and I rather believe the end credits' claim that the quartet consists of Dave Brubeck, Bill Smith (clarinet, sax, recorder), Chris Brubeck (trombone, bass) and Randy Jones (drums).
I can't remember having heard Take Five in the soundtrack as claimed in another thread, but can confirm a snippet of Blue Rondo la Turk (another track from Time Out) is present. Alas, I do not know DB's work well enough to be able to identify the other tracks used. Sorry. Love the stuff though and would love to see them identified.
Best,
M
