The more traditional, uptight set (Howard and Dorothy) or the more contemporary, carefree set (Fred and Helen)? You decide.

Fred and Helen seem like they'd be fun to hang with, and I'm guessing they had more money. Advantage; Fred and Helen.

The traditional ones, Howard and Dorothy. Fred and Helen were creepy. Not only did Helen grab her boobs, Fred made a very inappropriate joke about her breast size.
Howard and Dorothy truly did care about her, even if their actions on the phone almost cost her the boy of her dreams.
Also seemed with Howard and Dorothy you could just ignore and they would leave you alone, and that is what most teenagers really want from their grandparents. -

Howard and Dorothy actually remind me of my paternal grandparents, God rest them, so they'd be my choice.
And to answer the question, Howard and Dorothy are Jim's parents and Fred and Helen are Brenda's parents. -

My family had grandparents just like this. My dads was more traditional, wealthy and very stern. My moms dad died before I was born but my moms mom was very relaxed, fun and the one who got me into loving horror movies. I loved all three of my grandparents equally.
