I'm not talking about Skynet turning evil and dooming humanity, that hasn't happened IRL yet.
I'm talking about the scene where the Terminator walks into a gun shop and very confidently asks for a "phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range" despite the technology obviously not existing yet.
This is exactly the kind of mistake ChatGPT makes all the time delivered with the same amount of confidence as the Terminator.
James Cameron predicted AI being confidently wrong over 40 years ago.
