Didn't relate to any of them, but I know/knew people who might be a few of the characters. Except that I met them after college.

I was in college in the mid-'80s, which is when I saw this film. I identified only with Andrew McCarthy's character, and only slightly. But mostly I found these characters superficial, self-indulgent and alien to me, and it's only become more so three decades later.

I graduated from a Wash DC college in the mid-80's as well. But I was 3 years older than my graduating class. I clearly remember these cliques that thought they were so hip but were really just so blind. I think all that being trendy, young, and oh so cool crap should have been left behind in high school. It was cringe worthy in 1985 and even much more so now.

A mix of Billy, Kevin and Kirby.

Can't say I see myself in any of the characters butif you were a college senior in 1985, this film will always be special to you. It didn't have the same chance to affect other years but, for those graduating in '85, this film can make you young again (for a couple hours.)
