He is way in the lead and can only get hurt by showing up because he will be the focus of attack from the candidates and the media. He has nothing to gain. The establishment wants to take him down but he isn't going to play their game!

The media is going to hype one of them up after the debate to try to take Trump down for not participating and force him into the next one. Watch for it. It will probably be Chris Christie or Nikki Haley.
