Here's a fun little piece of trivia. In the 1995 film, Slam Dunk Ernest, at approximately 52 minutes into the film, Ernest, while dancing around his house, sings an excerpt from "Our Love Festers (like an open wound)" which is the song featured in the opening credits of Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam. check out the clip here:
