That was a cool moment though.
Truthfully, I haven't watched Highlander in decades. I barely remember the plot and I didn't keep up with any of the sequels. Imo Highlander is a movie written by a guy for men, so I never really related to it at all.
I thought maybe in that clip you shared, was Connor meeting Rachel for the first time as a child and then through fate, they met each other again when she reached adulthood, and a romance devoloped. Kind of like they were destined to be together. -

The Connor/Rachel subplot is complicated, to say the least. Conner raised Rachel as his daughter since WW2. In 1985 she looks old enough to be his mother, yet she seems to have romantic feelings for him.

I highly recommend the first movie in the franchise but I must add that quite many people really seem to dislike it too. Seems that people either love that movie or hate it. While it's been among my all-time favourite movies since it premiered, I can see why some people find certain scenes unintentionally funny. The visual style was unusual even at its time. I love all of it though, and not in a kitsch way: The story is superb imo, and the basic premise one of the best in an action movie ever.

I just got the Blu Ray 30th anniversary edition. It's probably the most comprehensive edition with the most features. However, I'm disappointed that it's the International Cut instead of the Director's Cut (despite what the box says)….
Grade "A" Fully Loaded
