I know the individuals credited are different but I could swear the actual score of the film particularly in the intro and throughout various moments of this film is the exact same or similar arrangement as what is found in Total Recall or Rambo III. Anyone else think this?

I didn't think that it sounded similar to Total Recall, don't know about Rambo III (been a while). Most of the time, the music was way over-used and had too much cheesy modulation.
Interestingly, the trailers and featurettes used music from Alien and Brainstorm.

Oh, it just dawned on me you mean the dream sequence at the start. Sorry. 🙂

Sounds like a cheap tv version of the total recall one even know it was made 4 years later,
So it was the same composer or what?

The film was temped with music from RAMBO and the composer Christopher Young was asked to write music that was similar.

I thought the scene when the kid's running away from the ship before he finds Karen Black sounded alot like "It" when Pennywise the clown would show up.

I was thinking the same thing! For a moment I though it was Jerry Goldsmith that composed the film only to find out the score was by Christopher Young, sounds very similar, indeed.
