Who played the better Devil?

I guess someone else wrote the name "Louis Cyphre" into the script, not DeNiro. (And as someone else said upthread, maybe both actors were giving the portrayals the directors asked. They are different stories.)
Isn't that name a sarcastic taunt to Harry, as if to ask him who the f!0! else would he expect it to be, considering all that he's been about all these years? Louis Armstrong?
One can imagine L.C. saying to Winesap and Macintosh, "Sheesh, looks like we're actually going to have to show up for this joker. Call my manicurist."
Lucifer: Bearer of light.
"The bonsai: the ultimate miniature."

De Niro, hands down. I found Devil's Advocate, and Pacino's performance in it, to be highly overrated.
Though I still say Walter Huston made the best Devil (in The Devil and Daniel Webster.)
Peter, is your social worker in that horse?
