Would have bled out while they were standing over herbut then the powerful scene wouldnt have taken place

I would have thought getting hit by several M16 rounds in the torso would have killed her outright. They pack quite a punch and the shock of the rounds hitting was often enough to cause death. Her back would have been one big exit wound at that range and she would have bled to death quite quickly even if the shock of the rounds hitting did not kill her.
