I like Jon Cryer as an actor but I didn't like his performance as Lenny, I didn't think it was a very good role for him

      Eooohhhhh Nooooooo
The character itself is a joke, but Cryer does the accent pretty well and does have some funny lines imho.

i liked it only cause thats how he was in the 80s. he was that type of 'dorky trying to be hip' character in all the films he starred in around that time. so i didnt see it as a bad performance.

He was terrible. Cryer was really young, and the character material was bad. So I give him a break on it. It's not the best way to get into the acting business. He's lucky he survived. But lets face it, he was a nobody til Two and a Half Men.

Not that funny or necessary in the film, but also not one of the major problems with it.

I can't say if he was good or bad. His character felt out of place (like
              Richard Pryor
              's).

Basically, he was playing the role that Ned Beatty would've played, the foolish sidekick. But Otis was a man and didn't act like a slang teenager like Cryer did as Lenny. Maybe he felt that was the way to play him, to make the teen audiences interested. It didn't work.

Very irritating. Such a dumb and unnecessary comic relief character.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

Loved The Cryer in Superman 4. Favorite is his reaction when Superman drops him off at the boys school.
