Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Killer Klowns from Outer Space

I mean this is put in some vampire movie categories including on some filmographies and even keyworded vampire.
I believe these are space vampires since they do suck blood but with a straw instead of using their fangs.

They also started the trend of vampires having big red noses and floppy shoes, a trope continued in the Twilight movies.
The meth heads didn't mind. One seemed to prefer the aftertaste of poop.

There's a lot more to vampires than just drinking blood. The klowns may done the same, but they were clearly not vampire-like in any other way. Bottom line, they're not vampires.

I know, there are many kinds of vampires and many species of them even intergalactic vampires to Egyptian vampires that don't burn in the sunlight to psychopathic human vampires to soul-sucking vampires.

Didn't anyone else notice that they refer to 'Lifeforce' in the scene where they speculate whether the Klowns came to earth long ago and that may be where our idea of Clowns came from.
The same comment is made in 'Lifeforce' about vampires.

Indeed and maybe also our idea of vampires come from the Klowns as well since they suck blood and the ones in Lifeforce are energy vampires rather than Sanguin vampires (blood drinkers).
There was also Buck Roger's Vorvon and Vampirella comics
