Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Young Einstein

She is the actress who played Marie Curie in the movie, and she was fantastic. As much as anyone, she holds the movie together, tying Albert together with Preston Preston as the plot unfolds and both supporting Albert and finally spurring him to action.
Le Clezio was also a very fine actress and gorgeous to boot.
And apart from Young Einstein there is almost NOTHING about Odile Le Clezio anywhere on the internet. Nothing. Zip. Nada. She appeared in bit parts in a few more movies in the late 80s and 90s, but about her. there is almost total silence.
All I could dig up was that she is from Mauritius.
Anyone have any info or updates on the lovely Miss Le Clezio???
    Much appreciated.

I've been wondering the same thing the past several years. Hopefully more details will surface at some point.

I always love this line of reasoning; "the actor was great and looks great, why isn't he/she still around?" Acting in a movie, or should I say, getting a good role in a good film is as likely a scenario to an actor as anyone else winning the lotto. Sometimes actors can ride their fame. Unfortunately nothing grand came after "Young Einstein". It is almost unbelieveable how ridiculously hard it is to have a "successful" career in acting, and that most people who aren't in the field don't recognize this. It is a great acheivement on Odile's part to have performed so well in such a great film. The cold truth is, Hollywood hates older women for the most part, and in Hollywood if you were in a movie playing an adult in the '88, you are OLD in 2007. (here I make use of the generic "Hollywood" knowing full well the great Australianness of "Young Einstein")

She has a number of screen credits. I expect she just likes to keep her private life private.
