I got the impression that whoever wrote this got in over their head and couldn't find a way to stop logically, and then came up with the ending with a "oh well, f* it," mentality. Other than that, pretty good movie.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked and still am. I thought the movie was really good with top notch acting. I really loved the suspense through the film. I was a bit put off by the ending. It just came out of nowhere and made a total twist on the overall feel of the film. But it is a very interesting film. I would of course recommend it, but I would warn people about something really unexpected that will surprise and shock in the end. I am glad I watched it, because you rarely find movies like these nowadays, and this film is still very hard to find.

I agree. I'd never heard of it before and watched it because it was free On Demand and had Malcolm McDowell in it. I was thinking it was a fantastic film until that ending seemed to throw in everything but the kitchen sink just in case. I thought there was a much more obvious conclusion they were headed toward that would have been satisfactory and not taken it into WTF? territory.

Not really. It's pretty much something you'd see in a classic Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode. The explanation is only implied to and it's much more original and unique (and bleak) then your typical psycho vs. psycho / final girl.
