Would she have remained a human then? It seemed like he didn't really love her and still had another girl on his mind. I'm sure he liked her as a friend, but any kiss looked like it would have been a spur of the moment impulsive thing because he was 'in the mood' and not out of love.

It's pretty clear he was developing feelings for her throughout the day they spent together. I don't think it was a spur of the moment, because later that evening he has come to terms that his dream girl was just fantasy and that Ariel is the girl he'd like to marry.

I would imagine so but the girl he would have been on his mind is her, but how can he even know it since she can't speak and that was because she traded her voice to Urusal as payment for the potion to make her a human.

All that was needed to make her human was a kiss. Eric was definitely attracted to her, but confused because he remembered a girl witha beautiful voice, so thought it couldn't possibly be Ariel.

He still wasn't sure if Ariel was "the" girl

Also why did the eels upset the moment? And Ursula Becomes Vanessa?
Cause if he did kiss her well Ursula loses HENCE TAKING MATTERS IN HER OWN TENTACLES
also the unwritten rules of Fairy Tales Disney or otherwise Happy ending or no CONFLICT is needed

Actually, not just a kiss, but a kiss of true love. That's what Ursula made clear in the contract.
Considering that Ursula clearly panicked at the possibility that Ariel would actually win the deal (to the extent that she not only had Flotsam & Jetsam tip the ship over in case they came close to kissing, but even transformed herself into Vanessa specifically to ensure Ariel couldn't win the deal before the third day passed), it's pretty obvious that would have been the kiss of true love.

I think Eric was falling in love with Ariel for real throughout their time together, so that would have been a kiss of true love. Eric's dilemal was that he had this fantasy in his mind after hearing Ariels voice and that was what was holding him back from committing to Ariel but he eventually lets the fantasy go because he realizes he's fallen in love with Ariel, and 'the voice' is just thata voice.
Ursula put him under a spell because she knew that she had lost, that Ariel had won his heart, and so she had to buy time for herself which is what the whole Vanessa plot wasUrsula keeping them apart and letting the clock run out so she could win.

It's an interesting point. What we need is some fairytale legal small print on what constitutes a 'kiss of true love'.
