What became of Amanda?

When last we see Amanda/Mary Helena, Freddy's trying to climb his way out of her stomach Jesse-from-Nightmare 2-style. What do we think became of her? Can Freddy kill a person who's already dead? Did he somehow send her to the afterlife to get rid of her meddling (she was trying to end his murder spree way back in 3, after all)? Taking all bets!

I think Freddy claimed her soul. Remember that in NOES5, Freddy wasn't defeated but trapped in Amanda for as long as she could hold out. Heck, we see Freddy start to break free the second he's trapped.
I imagine Freddy managed to escape Amanda and trapped her soul within himself shortly after Jacob's birth. In the comics, we discover Alive moved away from Springwood shortly after. With the Dream Master gone and her telepathically gifted son also away from the city, Freddy was able to claim the town within 10 years. -

I don't think I'd agree to that, Freddy claiming Amanda's soul, since she was ALREADY dead.
I think Freddy can only claim the soul of ppl who HE kills himself. I don't think it's like Freddy could just walk around the spirit realm claiming souls of EVERYONE there.
I would imagine Freddy AND Amanda existed together in the dream realm or spirit realm without really being able to do anything to each other. That's sorta how it was in the original script for Freddy's Dead.
If you count the Innovation Comics as canon ~they are set in between 5 and 6~ I THINK Amanda shows up a few times.
