Isn't this a great movie?

Loved this movie. I'm a mother with another one on the way. I watched this with my girlfriends, one of which is trying to have kids. We had the best time watching a couple movies about parenting. This is by far the funniest. The kids in this movie make it worth it and Steve Martin is a master of comedy. I need to keep this movie in my collection for my kids.

Not crazy! Wonderful film which stands the test of time. Family issues which are explored here are just as relevant now as they were when the movie was made and most people will find something here to relate to unless they have had an unusually carefree and perfect life.
This movie is really tough to watch for the simple fact that it is so realistic in terms of the issues it tackles without sugar coating. The only not totally realistic aspect is that there is a happy ending for all involved, more or less. But after such an emotionally draining film they pretty much had to end it on a high note!
The other reason this movie warrants a high rating is the acting. There are no weak links herenot even Keanu Reeves.
It would be tough to say who the best were but I think Dianne Weist and Joaquin Phoenix really took it to the next level.
Dick, I am VERY disappointed.
