Does anyone know if the French/German DVD releases - which are now available from Amazon - have subtitles (French/German or English)?

The answer to my own question is no. There are no subtitles in any language on the DVD release. What a shame.

WTF! Why can't this be released with English subtitles, !%@$@$@%! I've been waiting for years for this movie

OK this was something I was wondering about.
Now, here's my back up plan question then: Is there a transcript of the film in French? If so I might be able to create a English translation subtitle file which could then be added to a re-authored version of the film on DVD.
I mean, it's possible to do it by transcribing while watching the film but it's far less likely to be accurate and will take far longer.
