In my limited experience with pawn shops, the people working there often seem to think their stuff is worth more than it actually is. I have better luck with flea markets and ebay.

A new copy of UHF shouldn't be more than $10, I don't mess with pawn shops anymore for movies

I'm a frequent pawn-shopper, and I learned my lesson after my first burn: NEVER buy a pawn-shop DVD without looking at it first, both to make sure it's the right movie and to check the disc's quality. 'Course, you don't need me to tell you that now, but everybody else out there be vigilant, 'cause a lot of pawn shops have a NRNRNE policy, which sucks.

Forget pawn shops for DVD's/Blu-rays. Just use half.com for DVDs. They'll be in better condition, you'll get most of them cheaper and they ship them to your door.
