A 19 year old pop singer and reality show contestant known for her collection of expensive leather jackets is found murdered in her apartment and her leather jackets cut up. The detectives have several suspects, including the victim's ex-boyfriend and a racist man who hated the victim because she was of Puerto Rican descent until new evidence leads the detectives to a radical animal rights group. Five members of that group, three young men and two young women, all 18 to 20 years of age, are arrested for the girl's murder.
