Did Anybody Actually See This In The Theater?

Yes. It was a full house. At the end when Doc saved Clara on the hover board it looked so real compared to seeing it on TV a second time.

I saw all of them in the theater and they were extremely popular.
The first one was so original that it blew everyone's mind.
It was an original concept and had comedy, adventure, and drama.
Typically with Hollywood, a witty original film will have forced comedy in the sequels. That's what happened with Back to The Future, the sequels had too much comedy and were unrealistic so they weren't as good.
I recall people being disappointed with Part III. -

I saw it in a small Latino movie theater in El Monte, California. There were a good amount of people. This particular theater in Valley Mall had two screens and they always had at least one Spanish movie playing on the other screen. Usually English speaking movies would have subtitles in Spanish. I remember I also watched ID4 in this same theater and I clearly remember the subtitles.
By the start of this century, I believe it became more of a playhouse for comedy acts. I honestly don't remember any more. It later closed down.

Saw the first one in the theater and the third one. The third one was a good watch, not as great as the originality of the first one but it still was a fun ride.
Didn't like the second one at all when I rented it on VHS. I kept pointing out that George McFly wasn't the same George as in the first movie everyone thought I was nuts.
