An ancestor could look like 1985 Marty, son of George (Crispin Glover) but why does Marty's GG Grandmother look like 1985 Marty's mother? Marty's GG Grandmother would have come from a different family entirely. Just one of the dumb continuity issues in having so many Martys and Docs running around through time.
This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

Such a dumb question. You really think this type of movie strives for realism? You think the DeLorean really travels backwards through time? Wanna buy a bridge across the Thames? I'll give you a real good deal!!

the in-movie explanation; McFly men are attracted to women who remind them of their mothers.
The out-of-movie explanation; they needed to find a way to give Lea Thompson a bigger role than Lorraine's cameo at the end of the film.
