I suppose if you are gay or a fag hag you would.

I still find it strange since I went to school in the 80's and 90's and never once heard of this day. Regardless if it's a federal holiday or not, I would think the school curriculum would still teach about it.

I think gays want more attention and less discrimination.
Golly Gee… Ya think so???
Blacks want the day that officially ended slavery to be recognized which I don't disagree with.
That is something to celebrate.
You are sooooo DEEP!
OK now that you are no longer slaves how about working on not being violent towards each other?
You said it.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

How do blacks have it way worse? There are black gays too? Do they get a double whammy of prejudice?
To answer your question though, not one bit and I say this as a homo myself.

People have to come into themselves about their understanding of being and attitude. The breeder is a lost cause though and the more they push out crotch goblins, the more screwed up and immersed in suffering we will be.

No disagreement with me on that one my friend.
We do have a problem with overpopulation and some just don't give a **** about it nor do anything about smart family planning.
Breeders who don't have all the right equipment just don't get the hint that they are not supposed to breed and see all kinds of medical experts etc who help them to such as with a surrogate or other unnatural means instead of helping to be a part of the solution by adopting or not bothering with kids at all.
I am all for some kind of mandatory sterilization for either sex or the limit of children per household as China does.

To answer your question, no, I don't personally celebrate Pride. I don't feel the need, as being LGBT+ has never made my life harder.
The Oppression Olympics are more obnoxious than any gay pride parade, however. You act as though many gays aren't still harassed and killed for being so. Who cares who has it worse regarding the mistreatment of minority groups? The responses to such events as the Pulse shooting make it very clear that homophobia is far from conquered in the US, so the event is still warranted.

I do agree that homosexual beings, still have hurdles to cross regarding the ignorance and prejudice that gets attributed to them. The main problem is that it gets convoluted as well, by expanding a natural and basic sexuality into a confounded alphabet soup of nonsense.
Those that endorse this LGBTQI conundrum, have in fact gotten in their own ways and are making things worse.

Yeah, I agree with that.
It's definitely not a homogeny, and some of the more ridiculous ideas that come out serve to discredit the movement, as everyone is grouped in with the extremists even if they don't share those views.
The louder voices claiming to speak for all of us rarely espouse what most of us actually think / believe.
That particular issue is shared by all controversial groups, of course, and is not unique to the LGBT+ community, but it still certainly affects it.

I've never been moved or interested by Gay Pride month. I have watched a couple of Stonewall documentaries and I have nothing but absolute respect and admiration for those who fought back. Absolute respect. If I had been an adult living in the 1970s, I would have probably felt differently about Gay Pride. But these days, it feels like more an excuse to party.
One difference between black oppression and gay oppression is that if you are black, you cannot hide in the closet and hide. Unless we're talking "Imitation of Life", you can't lie about the color of your skin. On the other hand, you can very easily lie about being gay. My parents knew I was gay and yet they encouraged the lie. I had a friend once who very astutely pointed out that my parents cared less about whether or not I was gay and more about me feeling ashamed about the fact, and, therefore, keeping it to myself. So, yeah, that's pretty unhealthy. Not at all supportive.

It's fine if people don't care, it just seems an awful lot like caring if one is bothered enough to make threads about it. People who truly don't care neither bitch about nor praise it.
