Do Women Really Like Fat Guys?

I see thin women with fat guys, especially if they're rich, all the time.
Even discounting the gold-diggers, most women in my experience are more interested in a decent guy who will treat them well regardless of his size and shape.
I'm a slim, fit guy but I'm still single whereas I know plenty of slightly out-of-shape or even fat men who have attractive girlfriends/wives.
Admittedly, from an evolutionary POV it is curious because surely a fat man/woman, or to be fair a very thin man/woman, has less chance of living till old age and thus won't be around to provide support as a parent/spouse for several decades. -

I would think that its 'each to their own taste'.
There are men and woman who would not look at stars of Magic Mike and want to sex/marry any of them but someone like John Candy et. al. would set their hearts a flutter.
There are also young men and women who would not consider anyone under the age of 50 as a partner. (and no not for money either just their preference)
So its good that there are people for everyone to love/sex with and we are not stuck to the 'hollywood' notion of what is hot and what is not.

I think women or men will settle for what they think love is when faced with living alone or finding someone if they are shy or maybe don't get out much. Women more so I think can learn to love someone, sometimes they start getting older in age and get scared they will die alone.

John Candy had a lot going for him to make up for being fat.
Wow. Incredibly shallow comment aside, I guess some can't grasp that an attractive woman can for a guy who isn't a 'Ken Doll' simply because of love.
Sadly, in some people's minds, there always must be a 'qualifier' to explain it.
Usually, the guy must have money and/or frame or the woman must have a deep dark secret or imperfection of character that makes her ineligible for a relationship in the beautiful people club.
Love? Personality? Nah, couldn't possibly be
that

I'm a large man and my wife is in far better shape than I (i.e. has a shape). I guess it turns out that being pleasant and fun to be around counts for something. Plus I can pick up heavy things so that's helpful.

The one real life example I can think of is some model chick dated Chris Farley for a while. She said he was sweet and a gentleman. So there you go. I classify weight in the same category as skin color and age (to a certain extent, mind you) when it comes to love. I've had crushes on women of different races, different sizes, a couple years younger and a couple years older. If you're in love, you're in love. I won't argue.
