This is a great film. I love him as a romantic figure, but I would love him in anything. Maureen O'Hara is beautiful-still. She is one dame that took good care of herself and continues to do so. No, this is not a raucous comedy, and yes for a lot of people the thought of making it with John might have been a stretch, but he pulled it off nicely in this movie. He was a real lover and really loving too. 6 out of 10 :[

I agree - This movie made me a John Candy fan. He was a tremendous talent and an underated actor. But these sorts of moviesand actors in comedy genre don't often score very well.

I gave it a nine star rating because it was an excellent movie about overcoming, dependency, surviving, and loving no matter what.
