So they reach the shore of England and rather than accept his help, robin attempts to have Azeem clubbed over the head and taken back?
    What a jerk

I don't know about taken back - not to the Holy Land or a Muslim prison.
But Robin didn't want Azeem following along.
Maybe he felt Azeem would get Robin or himself in to trouble, being a man whom the English may not understand and want to harm.
Unless someone has a different interpretation?

Did you pay attention? Robin has had enough of people having servants and being far from home.

He was giving Azeem a loop hole. Forcing him home relieved him of his vow and kept his honour in tact. You're a jerk!
Hey! You're not old enough to drink! Now go and die for your country!!!

I believe he was trying to get Azeem to go home by fulfilling his vow. The boatman were attacking and he was to save Robin thus his vow was completed
