It's interesting that Greta Scacchi turned down the role in "Basic Instinct," considering both films being noir stories and her similar look to Sharon Stone, and both characters being rather psychopathic.

Maybe she turned down
Basic Instinct
because it was too soon after this movie and they're both similar as well.
