The conversation he has with Bob about this is very poignant and real, he touches on some truths in life.. But, it did strike me as odd that a kid his age would be thinking about this fear, at that age most of us think we are going to live forever and that we are indestructible.. The older I get the more this scene scares and affects me.. it didn't use to but now at age 49 myself it sure does!!!

I became afraid of death during Christmas break during the 4th grade
Then I saw this movie later that summer and it made me feel better.

I loved this movie as a kid partly because I was like Siggy lol.
