I assume in the movie she supposed to be a teenager. At least that's the way they betray her. I am just surprised they hired a 26-year-old to play a teenage daughter.
Don't get me wrong, she did a great job and looks the part of a teenager. She just must have really wowed them in the audition because I figure they would just toss any 20 six-year-old actresses aside for a teenage role.

Don't forget Stacey Dash in "Clueless". She was nearly 30 when she played a 15 year old.

It is very common, largely because teenagers are less mature and not as good at acting.

26 isn't that bad. Look at Clueless, Scream, Glee, anything teen related reallyvery common for actors approaching 30 to play teens

I was just going to see if anyone posted about this. She looked just like a teenager. I am convinced it was the haircut. It's the shorter bangs with the long hair, in my opinion, that makes her look younger.
