I seriously think like with Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. They could easily put Proud of Your Boy back in Aladdin, even if his mother is not in the story. The musical even followed my idea. He can sing it to his mother in Heaven.

It could be possible, I believe that the original story board idea was to have Aladdin sing the song to his mother while she was sleeping, and when they didn't not to have his mother in the story, they had to take the song out of the movie. They added Human Again to the movie to the special edition of Beauty and the Beast and Morning Report to the Lion King and as of 6 years ago they cut Morning Report from the stage musical.

Yeah, I don't know why they cut Morning Report from the musical. The last two times I saw it. I don't know why. It's a great number.

The I am not sure other then it is a really short song but I am sure that it was up to the crew after the many years that of it being in the show to have cut the song out of the show. The show made its Broadway debut with its first preview October 15, 1997 with the show's opening Novel her 13th. And the song got cut in 2010 so you looking at 13 years of the song being apart of the show or at least that close.

The character DOESN'T HAVE to be in the show. Proud of Your Boy fits Just fine without the mother. He can sing it to the Heavens. Like in the stage show.

Not true. 100% wrong. When someone dies, they remain in spirit. My grandmother passed away two years ago and I'm still determined to make her proud. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying that. It worked in the musical Just fine, it can work on screen. Fact.

It worked in the musical Just fine, it can work on screen. Fact.
It was written for a version of the story in which Aladdin's mother was a living character, and I think it worked best in that context. I doubt Howard Ashman would've written the song if he'd known the film ultimately wouldn't include the mother. -

2: Wrong again. In the musical, there is no mother, yet it still works. The character even sings a reprise and a mother never appears. The musical is still running today with the majority of the OBC still in it. Alan Menken put the song in to honor Ashcan and no one has complained. It works with Aladdin sings to his mother IN HEAVEN. Period.
So one more time, what I say is how it is. Final. So stop acting like I'm wrong. They could still out the song in another special edition without including the mother. Final. Fact. End of story.

Yes, it can work in a musical where you have two hours or more and room for many characters (appearing or mentioned) and a dozen or more different songs for all of them. But in an animated film of under an hour and a half there isn't that luxury - there's only room for a handful of characters, six songs (at best) and each one has to be crucial to the story. That's why the musical includes characters and many songs that are nowhere to be found in the film.
When the film was being made, the decision was made to drop Aladdin's mother from the story, and it didn't make sense to use up vital song space in the interests of a character who simply isn't there. -
