I've always wondered. It looks like sour cream but then she takes it out of the cupboard and not the fridge, unless she's so out of it that she keeps sour cream in the cupboard Crisco?

Eating Frosting right out the can with her BARE FINGERS (not even a utensil), not only explains her weight gain, but is also an indicator as to how far she has fallen. Even obese people have SOME self respect (I know of a heavy friend who dresses well and is a fantastic chef!!!) but that action shows no respect of self. Also the 'crazy cat lady' scenario was hilarious, being such an extreme representation of the archetype!
LMAO!
Dr. Kila Marr was right. Kill the Crystalline Entity. -

That kind of gorging and lack of personal hygiene on display in that scene is often indicative of depression as well. Helen was clearly in her own world at that point and seemed pretty disconnected with reality.

i saw this recently again now after haven't seen it for years, and still all i can remember about it is the special effects, hole in the stomach and all that.. goldie hawn in make up as heavy set was the funniest part of the movie, as usual when shes teamed up with other big stars, a bucket of icecream and the sofa not even paying attention that they're breaking down the door.
fever came on by,
jumped when you arrived,
with your glowin smilin flace,
body that you shake,
in the middle of winter heat came by,
chewed the cold up and spit it out,
i wanna feel your hot body on mine,
i got fever as you arrived.
