I want that dog. It was love at first sight for me. I like the movie but I LOVE the dog. Is it a sheepdog?

When Gwen admits to her "affair" during the "marriage counselling" scenes, I love the way the dog is the first to get up and leave the room seemingly shocked by the admission.
It was a really smart move including the dog into the cast.

Goldie Hawn must adore dogs, they ended up in a lot of her movies. To see her dog fetish totally over-the-top, watch her with Chevy Chase and Charles Grodin in Neil Simon's "Seems Like Old Times."
