if you want to cry and laugh you should see the same story with indian actors the film name is "Chori Chori" i saw it first then i saw "housesitter" and i found the Indian film is more a live with Rani the name of the actress acting and Ajay the name of the actor unmoving features _ the " Housesitter" has some closeness between the two major characters . but if you want to cry and laugh see the Indian "Chori Chori" .

I think there are two main reasons why I love this movie.
- I saw it when it came out at the movies when I was 12 and laughed my a$$ off at the Tu-ra-lu-ra-loo bit

- Its a sad and beautiful story about a woman who is doing what a lot of women do really well, ie: fix/make the best of situations. She's likeable, womanly yet very youthful and natural. The fact that she tries to get Davis back together with his ex at the same time as trying to keep him for herself is so entertaining and sweet/strange.
She is a very strong and exceptional woman who also is lonely and vulnerable.
in short, its a true human story.
Love it!

i've had this on tape half my life or something, the translated title i know it by sounds funnier. don't remember much of it now, one thing that has stuck in my mind though is where steve martin has this whole clothing issue with goldie hawn, actually, i think that's the ONLY thing i remember about it.
if i could only tear down the wall,
that's between the open world and my soul,
seems like every door i pass,
underneath lay rubbish talked behind my back,
as i'm trying to cover up a scene,
the way i go about, i'd look like mr. bean,
in the dark night,
there's no longer a fire to be found,
i search from city street to country door,
the fire i can't lit no more,
like kind you do, i can't let people in,
like stuck glewed shoes, i can't go where you've been,
as i'm going back home,
i can let loose, the wall of stone. -

It is funny, and has talented actors, simple as that. I mean when 99 % of the things that come out the 2 main characters' mouths are lies it kind of lends itself to a funny or entertaining situation no? I personally found Gwen's "parents" hilarious.

Steve and Goldie are true comedians. This movie made me appreciate their talents more than any other that I've seen them in.
I've watched it so many times and never get tied off it. It's just great light-hearted comedy
