Not that it mattered that Stan wanted Vinny to represent him again. As long as Bill still had faith in him, Vinny was arguing on behalf of both of them anyway. They were either going to both be innocent or both be guilty. -

When Vinny is first brought into the boy's cell Bill is asleep and Stan thinks Vinny is a convict who intends to rape them.
