Apparently this is one of the highest rated episodes. Really? It's not particularly clever, doesn't have any standout lines and is basically about 5 people wanting to have casual sex with each other.
Why 9.5? -

"Niles, quit chasing zees lesbians"
I don't know, it's not high in the wit department, but I still think it's funny.
"So it's a threesome you're after! Well, I don't do those anymore!"
As if she thought that gave her more class or something, oh man. -

Here's what I don't like.
- Annie is an appalling actress, probably because she's affecting a terrible British accent
- Marty has nothing to do except act deaf and make hot toddies
- It seems unlikely that Annie would have the hots for Niles, rather than Guy
This is a tawdry sex farce episode which lacks the genuine wit of the "mistakenly gay" episodes (Matchmaker, Out With Dad and The Doctor Is Out).

Well, it looked like it was trying to pay homage to "Noises Off" which is about an off Broadway production team putting on a sex farce. A lot of "Noises Off"'s humor is slapstick and sight gags, as well as the whole wrong-room / door thing.
I think it kind of worked, but to each his own. -

Ski Lodge was one of my favorite episodes. It's not exactly one of their wittiest episodes, but I thought it was one of their funniest. I agree about Annie though. I didn't like her and thought she was the only thing that didn't make it a perfect episode. I loved Marty's role in it. He was the catalyst for most of the misunderstandings. I also loved the moment when Frasier realized nobody was after him and when Niles caught Frasier and Guy in his room.

I'm with you Jez. While it did have some chuckles, it was an elongated skit that was too repetitive, and too farcical to be more than mildly amusing.
There's be a lot less arguing in this world if everyone would just share my thoughts on everything.
Why don't we just shoot 'em down and be through with it?
