I'm going to say season 2. Even though I would have loved to switch the awful Lindsay and Tommy with Maria and Ryan. THAT would have been a perfect cast.
There wasn't a season that I didnt dislike at least one character though.
Season 1 had Scott, Tommy D and Lindsay.
Season 2 had Tommy D and Lindsay.
Season 3 had Tommy D, Lindsay and RJ.
Season 4 had Nicky.
Season 5-7 had Nicky and Liz.
I agree with a previous poster who said that the worst characters were the ones kept on and the good ones were let go alot of the time. -

Problem was the producers kept trying to duplicate or bring similarities from the original Saved By the Bell class, instead they should have just explored the dynamic between their new characters. Degrassi (old version and newer version) was able to do it.

I think the 1st cast line up was the best & they should had added Dustin Dimond to the 1st cast line up & kept it that way. The 2 to the 7th season cast sucked but that is just my opion
