6.3? I also remember years ago, this was a low 5.0.
Why doesn't this classic get better recognition? It had good acting for children being the stars, creepy music, good script, horrifying concept, and all of it executed decently. I would imagine this would be a mid to high 7. Something that would be remade even (not that it should, but it has a good enough story to try to milk again).

I am guessing the low score is due to the obnoxiousness of the child star Culkin.

I personally think Henry wasn't evil enough. I know it was more of a thriller than a horror film, but I thought they held back and Henry wasn't as evil as he could've been. He failed to kill his sister, he failed to kill his mother, and no one died in the car accident he planned. It seemed like he just wanted to do a bunch of stuff and then failed at it all. He did kill his little brother and the dog but I feel he could've done more. He didn't do quite enough damage for me to truly despise him. I thought the film could've gone a bit further and make me hate Henry more so I would want to root for Mark.
Overall, I gave the film a 7/10. It's an okay movie but the killer kid story has been done a lot better.

He failed to kill his sister because the people got her out of the water. She was very close to dying. He didn't kill his mother because she managed to hold onto the rocks and pull herself back up. He tried to kill the people in the car pileup, not his fault they lived.
How are those his fault? He definitely tried.
Henry did manage to kill his little brother.
To me he really was a sick bastard.
          Great movie.

Only on IMDb would some say 'yeah he killed his own little brother and a dog, but' I mean honestly, what the hell do they expect? If he just went around killing people over and over itd get boring and would lose the impact when he finally does something evil. This one has a slow build up, and I was glad they didn't rush the evil deeds he did. It was a perfect mix of creepy and thrilling, and is still entertaining all these years later.
