It's so bad that I literally had to come to this message board just to express my disgust. And though there's several other threads talking about how awful it is, I needed my own.
Demi Moore's character makes no sense. She goes from being 100% in love with and devoted to her husband to being this dude's girlfriend? "He just has more money." THAT'S AN ACTUAL LINE IN THE MOVIE.
She's made out to be nothing more than a gold digger, and an overall horrible person. Why would David take her back? Why would anyone take someone like that back? Just makes no sense.
UGH.

Her husband was a clunker - time for an upgrade and what an upgrade!
A woman attracted to a man with money is no worse than a man attracted to a woman for her youth and good looks.
That said if either of them had their wits about them she would have slept with Redford, taken the $1 million and together moved ahead with their lives.
