Bill Hader. He's pretty animated and can play regular joe parts when he's not wearing the mask.

Sasheer Zamata. She can go wild with the concept.

On the subject of female wearers, SNL's Kate McKinnon would get my vote, she's been knocking it out of the park since she joined the cast.

No way, not after starring in the abomination that was deemed
          Ghostbusters (2016)
          . I wouldn't want her anywhere near a possible sequel/remake.
Honestly, I can't envision it without Carrey and Diaz. They had the perfect chemistry, and it would be nice to see what happened to them after the events that took place in the original.
Besides, there was suppose to be a sequel, but it never panned out. (And, no, I'm not talking about
          Son of the Mask (2005)
. Keep that monstrosity as far away as possible!)
It was in an issue of
          Nintendo Power
          . Here's a picture of the article:

I would keep both Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz and use 'The Mask Returns' comics as the inspiration with some changes. With Carrey recently doing a sequel for 'Dumb and Dumber' with Jeff Daniels I see no reason why he couldn't do this.

I see another Son of the Mask situation with some of the choices mentioned here. Possibly something worse. 😮
For me, it's pretty hard to imagine anyone but Carrey as The Mask (if the next movie was also a comedy, of course).
You want something corny? You got it!

If I had to choose? Sylvester McCoy (the 7th Doctor).

Adam Sandler's latest movies have underpreformed, but this kind of role seems to be tailor made for him. The more bankable Will Ferrell would be a good choice too.

But can they sing and dance? Carrey did both. Read the trivia pg. Carrey's flexibility and improv skills made it easier. BTW he only made 450K for the movie, it was made before Ace Ventura. Diaz first movie. She didn't sing and was paid 500K. Bargin casting.

I'd be curious to see Matt Bomer play him. He can dance, sing and he's not a bad actor, would be an interesting challenge for him. Hypothetically speaking.
Michael wants to know what's going on.
