    90's did produce some classics.
the list of great films from that decade would be rediculously long.
But Pulp? Yeah, it's near the top.
Goodfellas, Fight Club, JFK, Big Lebowski.
    A lot of good'uns.

There are a lot of great films from the 90's and Pulp Fiction is one of them. I can't really decide what my all time favorite 90's film is.

My pick goes to Heat. The 1990s were a good decade for cinema, thanks in part to QT!

Braveheart is my personal favorite, but there are so many incredibly great films in the 90s, it's hard to separate them bc they're all up there. I'd put Pulp Fiction in the top 10 though. Heat and Goodfellas are definitely in there too. Then you have American Beauty, Usual Suspects, The Matrix, my guilty pleasure favorite Point Break, Seven, Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, GW Hunting, T2,.there's so many on that level, you can tie twenty of them..

The Matrix is one of the great cross genre films.
What genres are you picturing The Matrix makes use of cross genre?

Sexuality/Sensuality, Symbolism - I don't know if I would label those genres. More like plot devices, yes? no?
So, sci-fi and fantasy - now there's two genres. Is that considered cross genre? Technically I guess yes. But sci-fi and fantasy often go hand in hand, so much so, many movie-related sources (i.e. Netflix) lump them together as one category.
Still, I can't deny it's definitely crossing two genres of fantasy and sci-fi.

Yes you're right of course, more themes and devices rather than genres.
There has been much debate over the years about putting movies into 'buckets' of genre, for both good and bad.

                        1. Braveheart (I am a Scot)
                        2. The Big Lebowski
                        3. Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown would also be in my 1990s top ten, somewhere.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Boogie Nights. That would be my number 1. And off the top of my head, I'd say Breaking the Waves would be 2.

I don't know which one is the best but Pulp Fiction is pretty high in my list.
Terminator 2, Se7en and Clerks are also among my favorites.
