EVERYTHING that happens, gets explained. The viewer doesn't have to think about the story at all. You get totally no surprises of all the events that occur in the movie.
I know English a lot gooder than you.

      I'm not sure I follow.

Yeah, what's your point Scorpion? All you did was tell me that the movie tidies everything up at the end, just how I like it.

Well, I mean that we just KNOW Andy is innocent, for instance.
Aren't we allowed to wonder if Andy in a fit of rage really DID kill his wife?

No. From the moment Tommy tells his story we now know that Andy is truly innocent. But everything leading up to that moment is where we should question his innocence. Just like with the night before Andy escapes and the fellas are talking at meal about Andy saying some disturbing things and Haywood giving him the length of rope. We are supposed to think for a few minutes that he was going to use that rope to hang himself because he finally gave up. But then we see that he's used it to escape and that makes us feel better. It's okay to have everything explained in the end. The story is wrapped up and everyone gets what they deserved. It's probably why this movie is #1 on IMDB.

Not really. After all, this isn't an ambiguous mystery. The movie is about hope triumphing even when everything else has gone wrong. If Andy isn't innocent, then that message is lost and movie becomes about a murderer escaping his sentence.

Tommy being shot was a surprise.
