After returning from his time jump. His wife is no longer dead and they live happily ever after.
    But. . .
We know that he remembers what has happened while he is travelling through time. He is not affected by the changes in the time stream.
So she has lived the past however many years with him that he will never remember. Years he spent missing the love of his life, who has now grown and changed.
He doesn't remember the years that have passed now, and she does not know him at all. He is a different man.

Tragic would be losing her altogether once again. At least she's still alive.

I agree. His wife, child and best friend are still alive. They can fill in the blanks.

Right - he had to trade the 10 years to at least have them back in his life. It's always a trade off. I don't see this one as that tragic.

It's fully possible she knows he's from an alternate timeline and that's what she meant by "I have something to tell you" at the end.

She is most likely fully aware that he is from an alternate timeline.
In the shopping mall in the past, he tells her that he is from the future and as proof, he then shows her his younger self, who is just arriving at the mall.
Then in the future, when she notices how he reacts to having a son and her being alive, everything comes together for her. He is the future Walker that she met at the mall in the past.
