Agreed. I saw it when I was 10 late one night on television and it ignited something inside of me. It was a great blend of the '30's Universal horror films and modern character pieces. I really love Rick Baker's make up fx too. I have two copies of this film on dvd and a copy on VHS. I plan on watching it tonight with a bottle of wine and some pizza. This is my idea of a perfect weekend horror film. Moody, sexy and intelligent.

Love this movie. Saw it when I was younger, and it scared me. Saw it older and it mystified me. Saw it recently and it pleased me.
It is a great movie. For all the reasons other posters mentioned, and some more.

The first time I saw this one I got pretty scared. Back then, I was like 8 or 9 yrs old. Anyways, I've seen it a lot of times and, as a matter of fact, I saw it today. I never get tired of it.
Beauty gets the attention but it's the character that captures the heart. -
