Hi filmmekker, I think I've seen you over at the Woody Allen board. I also never tire of this movie, I think it's one of the films I've seen most and was one of the first films I owned (vhs ex-rental copy, probably watched it fifty times as a teenager, was very happy when it was released on DVD) funnily enough along with An American Werewolf in London which I also love, in fact even more than this. But this is definitely one of those films that I know I can put on anytime and it will always entertain me. I'm always looking out for more films like that, but I've probably only added three or four titles to that list in the last ten years. I guess it's harder to enjoy stuff now in the way you enjoyed stuff as a kid.

Agreed. I saw it when I was 10 late one night on television and it ignited something inside of me. It was a great blend of the '30's Universal horror films and modern character pieces. I really love Rick Baker's make up fx too. I have two copies of this film on dvd and a copy on VHS. I plan on watching it tonight with a bottle of wine and some pizza. This is my idea of a perfect weekend horror film. Moody, sexy and intelligent.

Love this movie. Saw it when I was younger, and it scared me. Saw it older and it mystified me. Saw it recently and it pleased me.
It is a great movie. For all the reasons other posters mentioned, and some more.

The first time I saw this one I got pretty scared. Back then, I was like 8 or 9 yrs old. Anyways, I've seen it a lot of times and, as a matter of fact, I saw it today. I never get tired of it.
