I only caught the last 45 minutes of this movie. What was the significance of Freddie saying "Emily's Stone is Pink".

earlier in the film, freddie's wife had said something about how he never went to the funeral. he said he didn't go to the funeral, but he went later, in his own time.
she said, "oh, really? what color is the stone?" and he couldn't answer her (because he'd never been before.)

I nearly cried during the end scene, I just watched the movie for the first time tonight. Brilliant.

Ummm I dont remember getting quite as emotional at the end of HEAT as I did with the ending to this Film.. One of the best if not 'THE' best finale to a movie i've ever seen Increadibly moving
